Thank you for visiting my Vintage Living Blog. Inspired by my love of vintage living and my fictional writing.

Most of my vintage living blog posts are micro stories with some how-tos, vintage living advice and writerly ramblings and book reviews. This blogging adventure began with my original writings– inspiration for the novels–interspersed with new stories and vintage living tips from how to dress, what to eat, cocktails, and even what to read.

Do you Love Vintage Living? Check out my articles!

As I wander along my writer trail I will add bits and thoughts about the writer’s journey (which may or may not be of interest to anyone but other writers). I’ve got a few special writing advice pieces that I’ve not found elsewhere on the internet.

  1. Hello I work in a senior assistant living facility, we are always looking for new and fun topics to share. Vintage may be older, but I think it would be fun to share vintage history or stories or ideas. I would love if you could tell me more about what it is you do. Do you live a vintage life style, do you dress in vintage clothing? Do you have vintage pictures with information you can share? Thank you for any information your willing to share. Lisa Binney

  2. Hi, you left the nicest and interesting comment on my blog. thank you. I’ve been fascinated with the 40s ever since we saw The Glenn Miller Band about 10 years ago. I’ll be reading your blog too

    • Thanks for stopping by. I love Glenn Miller, too. They played in our little town a couple years ago, but there was no dance floor and I knew I would be unhappy sitting all night so I didn’t go. Not sure if that was a good choice. Loving your site!

  3. Tammy,

With very few exceptions all I ever get on my blog page is spam. And unfortunately all the interesting and quirky spam gets filtered out and all I get are erectile dysfunction drug spiels. I miss the weird stuff.

    • This seems to be the case. I do have about 50 real comments, but that’s not enough to impress an agent. LOL. Thanks for stopping by anyway. The filter is working. You came through and not spam. Woo hoo!

  4. This is going to be a great novel. I can hardly wait for it to get published

    • Thank you so much! Now if we can just get an agent and publisher to agree. Thanks for taking the time to visit the site and read the blog! Will keep you posted on the novel’s publishing progress!

      Thanks, Tam

  5. Cool vintage blogs. I like. This was an awesome find. I have book-marked and will be back. Keep swinging!

  6. I have often felt, but could not put into words what you have written. I cannot tell you how many nights I have come home from swing dancing too wired to sleep. You have captured much of my unexpressed agitation and excitement about dance. Thank you.

  7. Hi Tam,

I have enjoyed what I have read so far. I look forward to visiting your site for updates.

    Cheers,
    Jen

    • Thanks. I will be adding some reprints of articles from when I published my Vintage Lifestyle magazine. I hope you’ll come back and check them out and please don’t forget to share with your friends. Thanks for visiting.

  8. Hi Tammy – just me, loving your blog and comments feature. Have a great Spring Break week, everyone!
